Building a virtual tour on this scale is always a balance between image
size (to show as much detail as possible) and download times. We have
tried to achieve the best compromise but this site really does need a broad-
band connection (512kbps or higher) to see it at its best. (learn more)
Your PC will need to be Java enabled (see right) and faster machines
(1.5GHz or higher with 512Kb of memory) will perform better. A screen
resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher will enable you to see the full screen.
If your system does not meet these hardware requirements, the tour will
still load (you do need Java though) but load times will be slow and the
images may 'stutter' a bit when rotating.
As you move through the tour, you will find other images are loading in the
background and cached (temporarily stored) on your system. Eventually
they will all load and moving through the tour will be quicker. Be patient
with the initial load times anf you will find the full experience of 'walking'
through the village well worth the effort.
