Java is a technology used to develop more interactive applications for use
over the internet. You may already have it installed but otherwise will need
to install it using the link on the right.
This is a sizeable download and we appreciate that doing this is not ideal.
However, our aim is to bring you the best view of Turunç possible and, as
it stands today, this is the best way of doing it.
If you are using a version of Windows prior to XP, Java may already be
installed. This is because Microsoft used to include it as part of Windows.
Unfortunately, a dispute between Microsoft and Sun Microsystems (the
inventors of Java) resulted in Microsoft's Java code being removed and
it is now only available directly from Sun.
We constsntly review new technologies and we are currently looking at
applications that will allow image information to be downloaded much
faster. We are, however, in the hands of the developers and we will
include this as and when it becomes viable.
